Somali Marriage vs Muzz

Muzz and Somali Marriage are not really the same kind of thing. Muzz is a global Muslim marriage app with a very large membership across many nationalities, funded by subscriptions. Somali Marriage is a small platform built only for the Somali diaspora, where free to join and brothers pay once rather than monthly. If you want the largest possible pool, Muzz is the larger app. If you want Somali-specific matching with wali involvement treated as normal, that is what this site is for.

What Muzz publishes about itself

Every line below comes from Muzz’s own material or a public register, checked on 2026-08-24. We make no claims about Muzz that Muzz has not made about itself.

  • Muzz is operated by MUZZ LTD, registered in England and Wales under company number 09376746.

    Muzz Terms of Service
  • MUZZ LTD was incorporated on 7 January 2015 and was named MUZMATCH LIMITED until 9 May 2022.

    UK Companies House, company 09376746
  • Muzz describes itself on its own homepage as "the leading Muslim dating and marriage app with over 15 million single Muslims looking for love". Its help centre and its App Store listing give different figures, so we quote the homepage rather than state a number as fact.

    Muzz homepage
  • Muzz states: "It’s always FREE to see profiles, match, chat & marry on Muzz." Its paid tier, Muzz Gold, is sold as a recurring weekly, monthly, quarterly, biannual or annual subscription.

Muzz homepage and Apple App Store listing
  • The UK App Store lists Muzz Gold price points of £14.99 to £34.99 and Premium at £19.99. Which subscription length each price buys is not published outside the app, so no per-month figure can be quoted honestly.

Apple App Store (UK), In-App Purchases
  • Muzz's App Store description states the app offers selfie and ID verification, and an option to add a chaperone to a chat.

Use Muzz if…

Choose Muzz if the size of the pool is what matters most to you, if you are open to marrying outside the Somali community, or if you want a polished app with video calling and a large team behind it. On those things it is not close, and pretending otherwise would waste your time.

Use Somali Marriage if…

Choose Somali Marriage if you specifically want to marry a Somali, if you want a platform where looking costs nothing and only the private chat is paid, if you are a brother who would rather pay once than hold a subscription, or if you want somewhere that deliberately has no clan field at all.

Free to join. Brothers: a lifetime pass as one payment, or a cancel-anytime monthly.
